SUBJECT: H1N1 Flu Update
Currently, the 2009 H1N1 flu poses no imminent threat to Fayetteville State University. However, we recommend the following preventive measures to minimize any health risks:
- Avoid touching your eyes,nose or mouth. Germs spread this way.
- Avoid close contact with people who are exhibiting flu-like symptoms.
- If exhibiting flu like symptoms , please do not attend campus activities. Symptoms include fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headaches, chills, fatigue, and upset stomach.
- Bring alcohol-based hand sanitizers and tissue as needed.
- Practice good hygiene measures, such as covering your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Properly disposed of the tissue after you use it.
- Wash your hands often with soap and water,especially after you cough or sneeze. Alcohol -based hand cleaners are also effective.
