Currently, the 2009 H1N1 flu  poses no imminent threat to Fayetteville State University. However, we recommend the following preventive measures to minimize any health risks:

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Germs spread this way.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are exhibiting flu-like symptoms.
  • If exhibiting flu like  symptoms , please do not attend campus activities.  Symptoms include fever, cough, sore throat, body aches, headaches, chills, fatigue, and upset stomach.
  • Bring alcohol-based hand sanitizers and tissue as needed.
  • Practice good hygiene measures, such as covering your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Properly disposed of the tissue after you use it.
  •  Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze. Alcohol -based hand cleaners are also effective.
